Fierce Vulnerability Book Study

US$0.00

You may have heard the phrase: “We were made for these times.” It has been used by Clarissa Pinkola Estes and others when speaking about today’s world.

I believe each of us has accepted a Divine Appointment to be on the planet and to serve at this time… and there is also a part of me that says: “Really? Are you serious? Why would I say yes to this? With so much turmoil, what can I possibly offer?”

Perhaps, you have found yourself in an inquiry about how to navigate these times with grace. Perhaps you have wondered what is yours to do in the face of so much turmoil. Perhaps you find yourself working through difficult emotions such as hopelessness and grief.

I have read many books about this. None has touched me as profoundly as Kazu Haga’s Fierce Vulnerability: Healing from Trauma, Emerging through Collapse. In this book, Haga identifies the need for personal and collective healing. He speaks to the multiple traumas in our history and how they impact us today. He combines spiritual practice with engagement in the world through nonviolent action. And he invites us into a conversation about how we can create spaces for all of us to heal together.

I finished reading Fierce Vulnerability, and wanted to go back to the beginning, and begin again – and I wanted to do this in community with others. So here’s my invitation: join me for a book study on Fierce Vulnerability. Let’s come together, grow together, and lean into the truth that we were made for these times.

We’ll meet on Mondays from 6:00 to 7:30 starting January 19.
